*Overview:*

Oversees the daily operations of the surgery department. Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting. May oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others.



*Education:*
* Required: Bachelors degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree within 2 years of employment in the role.
* Preferred: Masters degree ( i.e. MSN, MHA or MBA).



*Experience: *
* Required: Five (5) years of relevant professional experience, including three (1) year in leadership.

*Licenses/Certifications:*
* Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS
* Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise, CNOR
